NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
Thumb Region Materials Management Plan
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Thumb Region Materials Management Planning
Committee has prepared a draft of the new Thumb Region Materials Management Plan
(MMP) pursuant to Part 115 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection
Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended. A public comment period and public hearing are being
held to allow for community input and comment on the draft MMP.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD:
The public comment period for the draft MMP begins on Monday, August 3, 2026, and
concludes on Friday, October 2, 2026. Written comments may be submitted via email

Comments either mailed or emailed must be received by the end of the public
comment period on August 3 , 2026.
