Moratoriums & Resolutions
Buel Township approved a resolution to enforce a continuation of the six-month moratorium on Wind construction in the township at its November 21st meeting. The resolution passed on a 4-0 vote, with all board members present voting in favor. This purpose is to reasonably extend the timeline for the planning commission to host a public hearing on the amendments proposed.
The moratorium is effective immediately, and expires on June 18th 2024.
The moratorium does not act as a permanent ban on wind builds in Buel Township. Rather, the decision temporarily halts potential construction until the date specified.
